The C-451EB's low current consumption at low voltage and Phantom Circuit powering allow for the feeding of the microphone supply voltage using a standard shielded audio cable with two conductors.
The microphone can be powered via the AKG N-46E or AKG B-46E battery supply.
The C 451 EB, which was first released in 1969, is very similar to C451E.
It also features a switchable high pass filter that allows for a 14 dB/octave reduction at 75Hz and 150Hz.
It is great for acoustic guitars, as well as most stringed instruments such pianos, and can handle up to 52 Vphantom power.
