Built from poplar plywood, the speaker has an obsidian DuraFlex finish that uses tongue and groove joinery to provide stronger bracing and reduce box vibration.
The speaker uses a 12″ low distortion, low-frequency, woofer, a 1.5″ wave-guided neodymium compression driver and a class D amplifier to reach a maximum SPL level of 135dB and a frequency range of 44.8 to 19,600 HZ.
The JBL PRX712 1500W Two Way Multipurpose Self-Powered Speaker 12″ is intended to be used as a stage monitor, front of house PA, or for sound reinforcement applications such as rentals, concerts, schools, churches, and other venues.
The speaker comes with an injection-molded handle, 16-guage stainless steel, dent-resistant cloth-backed grils, integrated M10 suspension points, and 36mm pole mount sockets to attach to speaker poles.
A dbx type IV circuit controls the speaker’s crossover and dynamic limiting. It also optimizes component optimisation and allows for selectable EQ boosters. You can use the unit by itself, or connect it with sub woofers and PA speakers to create larger systems with better crowd coverage and lower frequency response.
