Sony’s HXR-1 NXCAM Professional Handheld Camcorder is compact and lightweight. It offers high-quality performance, adaptability and ease-of-use.

The 3-chip Exmor sensor features Full HD 1920×1080 resolution and a Sony G lens with 20x optical Zoom range.

A 40x Clear Image Zoom allows for 35mm equivalent focal lengths of up to 1152mm.

Wi-Fi connectivity allows you to transfer video files from the camcorder onto mobile devices. You can also control camera functions using your smartphone or tablet.

Easy transfer to and compatibility with computers, smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices is possible thanks to the network-friendly MP4 recording option at 720p and 3Mbps.

3 Exmor CMOS Sensors

Three 1/2.8 inch Full HD CMOS sensors are featured on the HXR-NX3/1. One sensor is for the Red, Green and Blue color channels. This allows for high detail and texture even in high-contrast colours. Sony’s Exmor technology means that the CMOS sensors can deliver low noise and high sensitivity in low-light situations.
Sony G Lenses with 20x Optical Zoom and 40x Clear Image Zoom
The Sony G lens offers high quality image quality and 20x optical zoom. It has a 35mm equivalent focal length range of 28.8mm up to 576mm. A 40x Clear Image Zoom allows for greater telephoto reach. It can reach 35mm equivalent focal lengths of up to 1152mm.

Frame Rate Flexibility

The camcorder records Full HD 1920×1080 resolution video using the AVCHD 2.0 codec at frame rates of 24p to 30p, 60i and 60i. AVCHD 2.0 codec is used to record Full HD 1920×1080 video at frame rates of 24p, 30p, 60i, and 60p. Standard definition DV recording is also available. Two SD card slots allow simultaneous recording or relaying.

Wi-Fi Control

Your smartphone or tablet can be used as a remote camera control, including zooming, recording start/stop, zooming in and iris, as well as for remote viewing. Both Android and iOS devices can use the Wi-Fi remote. The camera can stream MP4 video at 30 frames per second to your wireless device. The processor speed of your mobile device will determine the frame rate.

NFC One-Touch Remote

Near-Field Communication chipsets allow users to establish Wi-Fi connections by simply touching an NFC compatible smartphone or tablet on their camcorder.

Built-in LED Video Light

The HXR-NX3/1 is equipped with an LED videolight for great versatility in shooting interviews and close-ups. The light outputs 200 lumens at 3.3 feet, and 800 lumens at 1.6 feet.
